Corey Gooden and Aaron Coston receiving an NCLM award

EDENTON -- The Town of Edenton is thrilled to announce that we have been bestowed the Advancing Municipal Leaders Learning Culture of the Year award from the North Carolina League of Municipalities!

This award recognizes the mayor/council or manager/council forms of government that encourage and support the continuous learning and development of their employees and where their leaders actively support and participate in learning and development initiatives and activities.

For this award, we would like to take a special opportunity to thank longtime employee, Tammy Woodley, for her tireless efforts to cultivate our employees’ education, training, and continuous learning.

Whether it is through monthly Lunch & Learns or coordinating classes and training with the League, we take training and education seriously here in Edenton, and Tammy has always been leading the way to secure and provide these opportunities for us.

“Tammy was absolutely critical to the Town receiving this award,” said Town Manager Corey Gooden. “She has coordinated staff training and continuing education pieces for years and we could not be happier to receive this award nor prouder of her efforts. We would also like to thank the League for being such a great partner these many years.”

Today, and every day for the last 27 years, we have been tremendously grateful for everything she has done and continues to do for the Town of Edenton. What a momentous accomplishment!
